  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    2 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • When waiting the oven , make sure to Measure the flour correctly. Be sure to use a measuring cup made for dry ingredients .Then, measure flour by scooping it into a measuring cup and leveling it with a knife or with your hand.
  • Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Make sure to soften the butter early by taking it out of the fridge at least two hours before baking so it’s ready to go when you need it. 
    Once butter/sugar mixture is beaten well, add the eggs & vanilla and beat to combine.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract, Make sure your butter and sugar mixture is well-beaten and smooth. This step ensures that your cookie dough will have a consistent texture. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer on medium speed (or by hand with a whisk) until the egg is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Stir or beat the mixture until the vanilla extract is evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.Use a whisk or a spoon to combine all the dry ingredients together. Make sure they are thoroughly mixed to ensure even distribution throughout the dough.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • put the cookies in the oven in the beginning of the preheating time. (So put the cookies in the oven as you preheat it). Set the timer for 15 minutes and remove the cookies after 15 minutes. or until the edges are golden brown.
