Honey Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken pieces and vibrant vegetables tossed in a sweet and savory sauce. The sauce, made with honey, garlic, soy sauce, and a hint of ginger, perfectly coats the chicken and veggies, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. This stir-fry is an excellent option for a satisfying weeknight meal, served over steamed rice or noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 cup broccoli florets

  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

  • Green onions & sesame seeds for garnish

Directions

  • Prep the Chicken & Veggies:
    Slice the chicken into thin strips and cut up your veggies.
  • Cook the Chicken:
    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Cook the chicken until golden and cooked through (5–7 min). Remove and set aside.
  • Stir-Fry the Veggies:
    In the same pan, add more oil and toss in the broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers. Cook for 4–5 min until tender but still crisp.
  • Make the Sauce:
    Push the veggies aside and add garlic to the pan. Cook for 30 sec. Pour in soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch slurry (if using) and stir until thickened.
  • Combine:
    Return the chicken to the pan, toss everything in the sauce, and cook for another 2–3 min until well coated and heated through.
  • Garnish & Serve:
    Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice or noodles.
